We now offer monthly preventative care plans for each life stage of your cat! Ask us about our basic and complete plans for kittens, adult cats, and senior cats. Enrollment is easy and takes just 5 minutes at our clinic. Sign up today and enjoy year long savings.

At La Grange Park Cat Clinic we believe in providing comprehensive care designed to maintain your cat's health.  This care includes preventative care exams, age-appropriate vaccinations, and parasite prevention. A blood profile based on the life stage of your cat, along with a preventative care exam, will help Dr. Cuevas monitor your cat's health.

Research has shown many times over that cat's as young as 3 years of age can have minor conditions, that if not taken care of, can lead to severe or chronic diseases in an older cat.  This is why the American Association of Feline Practitioners recommends annual physical exams for cats under 8 years of age and every 6 months after 8 years of age.  It is our goal to treat you with dignity and warmth while providing the most compassionate, high quality care possible for your cat.  We want you to have a long and happy life together.

What is included in a preventative care exam?

Dr. Cuevas believes that every cat needs a complete physical exam at least once a year. Dr. Cuevas will examine your cat from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail, the top of the ears to the bottom of the pads, and everywhere in between. During the exam, Dr. Cuevas completes 14 different assessments of your cat's health including checking the internal organs, heart and lungs condition, and coat condition. A veterinary assistant will also check your cat's 5 vital signs which are the heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, pain assessment, and nutritional assessment. At every visit, your cat will be weighed and checked for external parasites such as fleas. This is also a good time to have your cat's nails trimmed.

Testimonial

First visit today for my cat who has not been feeling well for a couple of months. Not sure yet if we have found the source of the illness, but after the exam and talking with the doc, I think if anyone will solve the problem, it will be here. Dr. Cuevas, and Dan, were very patient with my questions and concerns. Most importantly, my cat, Boo, seemed very comfortable here.
